Marquis Standard Poodles are located in Richmond Virginia.

All of our poodles are raised in our home and are part of our family. Our moms and dads are genetically tested prior to breeding and pedigrees are carefully selected to insure that perfect healthy puppy!

Our goal at Marquis is to raise happy and healthy Standard Poodles that are not only beautiful for the show ring but ready to become part of your family. Our puppies are raised in an environment that encourages exploration and development of a sound temperament that we enjoy in Standard Poodles.  Selection of your puppy starts at a very young age so that the right puppy is matched to your family. Whether you are searching for a beautiful show dog with brains; or a loving member of your family; or perhaps a partner for agility and performance events; or hunting or retrieving; therapy or service; Marquis Standard Poodles can fulfil all of these desires. Marquis Poodle puppies get plenty of socialization once they are old enough to venture out of the whelping box as the pups accompany Kathi to her busy grooming salon. Interaction time at the salon allows the puppies play time away from Mom, enhances their exposure to sounds outside of the home, as well as crate travel time in a vehicle. All of these things contribute to a well rounded and socialized pup! 

All of our puppies are sold with Limited AKC registration on a spay/neuter contract unless co-ownership is a desire for the show ring. Kathi shows her own Marquis Standard Poodles along with occasion Toy and Miniature Poodles as clients. Evaluation of our "show prospect" puppies usually takes place between 8 - 10 weeks of age which allows companion puppies to join their new families shortly after evaluation..
